Hurricanes, Obama, and Palin

It is a well known fact that before hurricanes change direction they stop or slow their speed. It is a result of unclear wind direction. Our countries political climate is in an obvious slow down. Both political parties are trying to survive in power. Their interests are being placed over the nations. This standstill is a consequence of our nations divide. We are divided evenly between different ideologies. Our future culture as a nation is in the balance. On one side we have extremists that would like radical changes to the extent that our basic Judeo-Christian moral values would be threatened. Our capitalistic, social and legal systems will change. Anarchy and or dictatorship will ensue. On the other hand some will spouse a strict doctrine that will take us to false interpretations of our forefather’s beliefs. It will provoke a return to discrimination, censorship, class warfare, intolerance of others, resulting in the same dictatorship results. Fortunately these are minorities. Unfortunately both political parties cater to them to prevail in the electoral process.

The majority of us are evenly divided among ideological leanings but united in being fed up with our present track. Through out civilizations, populations have elevated leaders and made idols for the simple reason of, as hurricanes, receiving the wind that will make them move in the right path. It is a rejection of the status quo. This idolization always has led to disastrous results. In this election we have demonstrated our desperate need for change. More than realistic candidates we have made, first Senator Obama, and now Governor Palin into rock stars. Important decisions based on unreal expectations are doomed to fail. It is time that the majority of us unite. Lets stop the “you do not get it”. In reality we all “get it”. Let us all reject extremism and clearly tell both parties that times have arrived for a middle ground. It time to stop partisanship and politicking and start solving our multiple problems. Stop the blame game and start praising accomplishments. In reality we all want the same, differing only in methodology. Our independence and future depends on us. The time has come for our youth to forgo their hedonistic habits and start what has become another fight for our independence, way of life and survival.
